She has so many words. It’s as though she woke up one day and had an entire vocabulary readily available. It’s a little crazy.

On Friday, I pick her up from school and I had my umbrella with me. One of the boys in her class picked up my umbrella and she shouts:

NO CJ. DAS MY MOMMEE UMBWEYA!!

It was amazing. And cute.

Not only was she sticking up for Mommy, like “hey, don’t touch my Mommy’s shit!” but all of the words that she put together in one sentence… just warmed my heart.

Last week I went to Sally’s and The Pea broke a bottle of nail polish (of course) sending hot pink nail polish everywhere in their store.

I was mortified. So, I bought a bottle, even though they told me I didn’t have to.

The little bugger wouldn’t stay still in the store and kept breaking free of my (not-so) death grip hand hold.

I was able to convince her to allow Mommy to put pretty paint on her toes, but not before I painted my thumb to ensure her that the nail polish was not going to cause harm or death. After she saw that my finger didn’t fall off, she let me paint her toes with the nail polish. (I’ve tried to paint her toe nails before and she was deathly afraid of the polish)

Yay! Her first pedicure!!!

Well, sort of- there was some polish on the skin since she couldn’t keep her feet still, but after, she basked in the glory of her “pyiyee toes” (pretty toes).

My Dear God she was so adorable and tiny.

She’s still adorable, but not-so tiny.

Sometimes I question if I’m doing a good job with her and then she says or does something disturbingly smart and I’m reassured that, yes- I’m doing the best I can.

Yeah, I lose my patience with her and I get super frustrated, but patience has never been my thing. I’m not perfect, but the point is, I’m trying. And I love her. And she knows it cause she’s just Mommas big bundle of hugs and kisses… oh and tantrums.

My womb hurts.

And sometimes I think, I’m so impatient with her sometimes, how can I have another.

Because. I was made to be a Mommy.

I look at her sometimes and I just can’t believe that she grew from me. She was once in my body. She is a part of me.

She’s smart, she’s silly, she’s funny, she throws tantrums, she doesn’t listen, she knows that cows say “Mooo” and that her doggie is a “good boy.”

That’s my girl. She’s getting so big.
